Indian Masala Chai / Coffee
Novice
Ingredients - Tea
Serves 1 Cup

Half a cup of water

Few sprigs of mint (optional)

1 inch ginger grated
-
2 teaspoons loose tea or 2 teabags (use less or more depending on the strength of tea you like - our recipe makes a nice strong cup of tea)

3/4 cup of milk
-
1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoons of Sobhna’s Chai Masala

Sugar or honey to taste (optional)

Serves 1 Cup

3/4 cup water
-
1 inch ginger grated
-
Few sprigs of mint (optional)
-
1-2 teaspoons coffee (depending on strength you prefer)
-
1 cup milk
-
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoons Sobhna’s Chai Masala
Method
TEA
-
In your tea pan add water, mint, grated ginger and tea and boil on a high heat.

When it starts boiling add milk and chai masala. Let it simmer on a medium-high heat, stirring continuously so that it doesn’t overflow.

Simmer for approx. 5-6 minutes. Add sugar or honey to taste.

COFFEE
-
In your coffee pan add water, mint, grated ginger and coffee and boil on a high heat.

When it starts boiling add milk and chai masala. Let it simmer on a medium-high heat until it is a nice rich golden colour (approx. 5-6 minutes). Add sugar or honey to taste.
